Dana Michel | Yellow Towel
- On the Boards (map)
- Google Calendar ICS
As a child Dana Michel would drape a yellow towel on her head to emulate the blond girls at school. This memory became the impetus for a ritualistic work mashing black culture stereotypes into a fascinating alter-ego. Michel sheds layers and encounters talismans in a gradual, unsettling metamorphosis.
