This season we are offering True Cost and Pay-What-You-Can ticketing

This is in line with our wider mission to create access and equity in our organizational systems. We’ve modeled this season’s ticketing costs on Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s Green Bottle Sliding Scale Method, designed to address the systemic class inequalities in our culture.

Arts organizations need financial stability to survive, and community members deserve pathways to access the arts in ways that recognize the multiple realities of economic access and privilege that exist.

If your circumstances find you on the left end of this illustration, we invite you to purchase a True Cost ticket.

If your circumstances find you on the right end of this illustration, please purchase a pay-what-you-can ticket. Should tickets be sold out, please contact our box office.

What Is True Cost?

True Cost ticketing for our season subscriptions and individual shows. This cost is representative of the full, true cost of producing performances at OtB. This is reflective of the direct costs for the performances themselves, non-show specific costs are not included.

True Cost Tickets are purchases and are not tax deductible.

To calculate these rates, we have divided the production, marketing, admin, and facility costs by projected attendance levels. This is an average number so as not to imply a sense of hierarchical value between productions.
