Our Directors

Megan Kiskaddon (she/her) is the Executive and Artistic Director of On the Boards. She is Co-Chair of the Seattle Arts Commission and serves as a National Dance Project (NDP) Advisor. Previously, she led the Education and Community Engagement division at SFMOMA, where she oversaw artist driven, socially engaged, and educationally focused initiatives. She has had the privilege of working with numerous contemporary performers, and she organized the Anna Halprin exhibition and performance for the 2017 Venice Biennale. She served for several years on the Advisory Board for Emerging Arts Professionals, an equity-centered organization focused on empowerment and leadership in the arts. She holds a BA in Sociology from Mills College, an MA from the Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance at Wesleyan University, and is an alumna of the NextGen Getty Leadership Institute for executive education. 

Ellen Abram (she/her) is the Managing Director of On the Boards. Previously, Ellen was the founding Executive Director at The Feast, an artist-driven, living wage theatre company in Seattle. As The Feast’s lead producer, she brought works including Lorraine Hansberry’s The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window, Federico García Lorca’s Blood Wedding, James Baldwin’s The Amen Corner, José Rivera’s Marisol, and Champagne + Sodomy, an Oscar Wilde
mash-up event, to Seattle audiences, collaborating with Intiman Theatre, LANGSTON, Base, Equinox Studios, and dozens of other artists, venues, and community partners. She has held fundraising roles at ArtsFund, Southeast Effective Development (SEED), and San Francisco’s Magic Theatre, and she has a B.A. in Theatre from Northwestern University. She lives in Burien with her wife, Ashley, and their cat, Rosie.
