Jordan Isadore
Jordan Isadore, originally from Northern California, holds a BFA in Dance from California State University, Long Beach. He has worked nationally and internationally with artists and companies including Shen Wei Dance Arts, BodyTraffic, Christopher Williams, Gallim Dance, Skybetter & Associates, Barak Marshall, Alex Ketley, and Alexandra Pirici, performing at venues such as the David H. Koch Theater, the Mariinsky Theatre, and the Park Avenue Armory.
His creative work spans commercial and experimental contexts. He has directed movement for Solange Knowles, performed with Devonté Hynes (Blood Orange) on Conan, and been photographed by dance photographer Lois Greenfield. His choreography has been presented at the Museum of Arts and Design, 92nd Street Y, Joe’s Pub, and the American Dance Festival.
Now based in Portland, Oregon, Isadore creates performance work that is intimate and theatrically layered. His recent solo You Look Good, Bud explores masculinity, memory, and personal mythology. It premiered through New Expressive Works’ 17th residency, was performed at the 2025 Risk/Reward Festival, and premiered as a full evening-length work in November of 2025 at OpenSpace Dance with support from the Regional Arts & Culture Council.
