kelly langeslay is a queer dancer and writer. they make maximalist solo work characterized by pop culture iconography, queer theory, a soundtrack of high school mix tapes, fragmented storytelling, and durational/repetitive movement. their work explores themes of connection, grief, and queer futurity.
kelly has been making and performing work all over Seattle since 2022. they performed their first self-produced solo evening-length work, girl dinner, in June 2025 at Base: Experimental Arts + Space. they often perform in unconventional spaces with excessive sets, and in January 2026 they performed their solo evening-length work crush 58 at Mini Mart City Park in an immersive pillow fort installation they built. they are currently working on Impact Play, a 4th of July performance/house party in collaboration with Joseph Hernandez/Bluescreen; and an ongoing public performance series in their apartment.
kelly graduated from the University of Washington in 2020 with a BA in dance and a BS in psychology. they have presented work at 12th Avenue Arts, Mini Mart City Park, Jack Straw Cultural Center, Pipsqueak, Risk/Reward, Base, Velocity’s Bridge Project, Woodland Theater, Automorphs, reSET All-Stars, Gatto Nero, Spring Shot, Drama Tops Off the Lead, co— Show 6, reSET, 12 Minutes Max, and Flight Deck. they have danced in work by Jordan MacIntosh-Hougham, MALACARNE, and Symone Sanz. they have been awarded residencies at 2+U, UW, and Open Flight Studio, and have received grant funding from 4Culture and NW Film Forum.
