Joanne Park

Joanne Park (she/they/he) is a street dancer in Vancouver, as well as a Computer Science student at UBC. They specialize in Popping, Krump, W*acking, and Waving. Since 2019, Joanne has taken classes from and trained under Vancouver-based dancers such as Rina Pellerin, Natasha Gorrie, Simran Sachar, and Eric Cheung. They have also been trained under street dance and contemporary pre-professional programs, Higher Ground, Immigrant Lessons,and Modus Link. In 2023, Joanne was a commissioned artist in the Festival of Recorded Movement, and received the Most Memorable Youth Short Film award by the SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs for their film Tell the Truth (But Tell It Slant).
