Glory Hole Drag Collective

Glory Hole Drag Collective is an experimental drag and performance art showcase that creates a unique space for Seattle drag performers to expand their artistic boundaries. Originating as a one-off basement show where performers were invited to forgo the typical two-act lip sync format of a drag floor show, Glory Hole grew into an award-winning monthly performance series where audiences might see and interact with truly anything— performance art pieces, durational character work improvisations, interactive installations, and pop-up performances which spontaneously occur in the space over the course of a night.

After an extended hiatus following a highly successful initial run in 2019, we reunited to bring the show back to Seattle in July of 2025. Our return has been met with great enthusiasm from the community, with ticket sales for our first comeback show immediately breaking our prior records and all subsequent shows selling out.

Glory Hole Drag Collective currently includes four core performers: Artie Thomas (Stasia Coup), Angel Aguayo (Angel Baby Kill Kill Kill), Nico Swenson (Miss Texas 1988), and Mika Bangcaya (Beau Degas). While each of us primarily identifies as a drag artist (an emphasis on costuming, makeup art, expressive movement, and gendered performance) we are also dancers, painters, actors, puppeteers, and clowns. Glory Hole is meant to be a drag show which creates a unique opportunity for disciplines to cross-pollinate and take new and unexpected shapes as a result of their mixing.

Glory Hole intentionally seeks to present drag outside of bars and traditional nightlife spaces. Presenting drag in art galleries, theatres, and other spaces “of note” to arts communities brings those circles closer together. We know drag to be a challenging, multifaceted medium that has traditionally been sidelined by the formal arts, and Glory Hole begins a conversation about the legitimacy and intersection of our disciplines.
