N O W I S W H E N W E A R E (the stars) | May 16 - 19
Walking in total darkness to immersion in a theatrical cosmos, viewers explore traces of themselves in starlight, the universe, and those who have been here before us.
N O W I S W H E N W E A R E (the stars) draws on inspirations as broad as seeing the Milky Way for the first time to installations such as Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Room and Random International’s Rain Room. In either guided or self-guided experiences, audience members walk in total darkness to immersion in a theatrical cosmos of 6,200 reactive points of light with an enveloping 496-channel sound design, where they explore traces of themselves in starlight, the universe, and those who have been here before us. This new, one-of-a-kind, immersive experience comes from the mind of theater/technology pioneer Andrew Schneider.
We will be taking rush list names at the door for open spots. Lobby will open for rush names 30 minutes prior to the first tour each day.

Andrew Schneider is mostly interested in how humans telling stories about ourselves to each other can make us better at being humans. And how much the second law of thermodynamics and grief have in common. He is an OBIE award-winning, Drama Desk nominated performer, writer, and interactive-electronics artist creating original works for theater, dance, sound, video, and installation since 2003.
