Juniper Shuey
Juniper Shuey (he/him) combines video, sculpture, and performance to create immersive installations that push the boundaries of traditional art forms.
Shuey's artistic journey began with theatrical set design at Emerson College before evolving towards video as a sculptural medium during his studies at the University of Washington. This unique approach led him to co-found zoe | juniper, a multidisciplinary arts company recognized internationally. Shuey's achievements include the Curator's Choice Award at the Tacoma Art Museum's Northwest Biennial and recognition from the Bellevue Art Museum. His collaborative installation, "Raven and the Box of Daylight" with Preston Singletary, exemplifies his skill in crafting narrative-driven experiences. Residencies at the Rockefeller Foundation's Bellagio Center and the MacDowell Colony further solidify Shuey's position among prominent contemporary artists. His work consistently blends visual, auditory, and physical elements, captivating audiences worldwide and redefining the possibilities of artistic expression.
